About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to theEglin NAF Accounting Office.

This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 96th Force Support Squadron at Eglin AFB Florida.Position is Regular Part-time (RPT) guaranteed 20-34 hours per week.

RPT employees receive benefits (Health/Life Insurance; 401K & AFNAF Retirement Plan; Annual/Sick Leave and Holidays). Who May Apply: Open to everyone.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 04/10/2026 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience: Experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, and making change when receiving payments from customers.

Experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods.

Knowledge to produce a variety of documents such as form letters, entering data into predefined spreadsheet or database is desirable.

Must be familiar with computer applications such as Windows, MS Word, Excel, and the Internet. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public.

Major Duties:

Applies AF instructions, regulations, and internal instructions/procedures to cash management and accountability.

Responsible for receiving funds from all activities, verifying accuracy, and consolidating all activity reports into two central bank deposits (one for the MWR Fund and one for Lodging) daily; deposits monies with local banking facility.

Contacts activity managers to clarify any discrepancies in daily deposit. Collects cash receipts, checks, credit card receipts, and other supporting documentation.

Prepares, issues and replenishes change funds as required.

Counts all cash and negotiable instruments physically present in the central cashier depository and submits the reports to the NAF Accounting Office (NAF AO), along with the NAF Central Cashier Control Log.

Prepares NAF Central Cashier Control Log establishing accountability for the central cashier funds.

Records receipts turned in by activities, funds issued or turned in and the amount of transfers to NAFIs. Responsible for balancing of change funds and consolidated central cashier control log daily.

Responsible for oversight of debt collection and dishonored checks. Observes the cash collection from various coin operated machines throughout the squadron.

Maintains PO files, examines budgets, balance sheet, and income/expense statements, reviews constitutions and bylaws, and processes fundraiser or other applicable packages.

Provides instruction and guidance to organizations that wish to become a PO.

Coordinates PO requests through the Resource Manager and base legal office for approval by the Installation Commander or designee.

Performs all administrative procedures in the event of non-compliance to include drafting and sending memorandums of suspension or dissolution. Performs other related duties as assigned.
