Full Job Description

Position is responsible for everyday operational tasks at Pool or Aquatic Center under the supervision and direction of the Park Manager, Sr. Aquatic Coordinator, Pool Manager or Head Lifeguard. Responsible for all cashiers functions.

Requirements

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Enforces aquatic facility and admission rules and closely monitors individual and group user entrance into the facility.

Collects admission fees and revenue and completes daily cash reports. Prepares deposit and may be responsible for taking deposit to bank. Completes other necessary forms and reports. Monitors change fund and notifies supervisor of change fund needs. Is fiscally accountable for admissions and cash balancing.

Registers participants in programs, answers telephones, exceptional customer service and communication with the public.

Follows all established protocol for biohazard materials.

Follows all aquatic facility rules and protects self from sun exposure when necessary.

Reports any hazardous conditions to supervisor immediately .

Maintains minimum number of in-service hours required by department and meet minimum standards for both independent and internal performance audits.

Cleans and police grounds, pool deck and bath house facilities.

May assist with teaching, coaching or assisting with lessons, swim team, other programs and special events at location in accordance with the designated swim lesson and water adjustment program guidelines and protocol.

Adhere to department policy and procedure at aquatic location at all times.

Qualifications

One (1) year's experience handling cash. The ability to use a cash register preferred, computer and specified programs. Excellent communication, telephone and customer service skills. People oriented. Ability to follow established procedures, policies and protocol. Prefer any bilingual skills particularly in Spanish.

Additional Information

Established policies and procedures control actions. Required to exercise good judgment in the areas of admission rules enforcement. This position will work under the supervision of the Park Manager, Pool Manager or Head Lifeguard.
