Job Description

Summary

This job involves helping manage projects at a power administration by creating plans, analyzing business needs, and tracking performance to ensure projects succeed and deliver benefits.

You'll work closely with teams to handle changes in project scope, costs, and timelines while integrating new systems with existing ones.

Full Job Description

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration in the Operational Delivery and Performance organization (TOII), Internal Operations Management Office (TOI), Transmission System Operations (TO), Transmission Services (T).

A successful candidate in the Business Analyst position will serve as a Business Analyst performing project management and business analysis that involves developing and managing a project portfolio and supporting business and IT projects.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience 1) assisting with developing plans for project accomplishment; 2) assisting in conducting independent analyses of performance standards and business requirements in order to propose meaningful metrics and track performance; 3) helping develop project summaries, briefings, and other deliverables that portray project status, identify potential risks to execution, and recommend corrective action.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
