  • Skills in developing plans, procedures, and five-year strategies with annual operating budgets
  • Knowledge of implementing and enforcing regulations for community business programs

Full Job Description

This position is located at: Business Operations Division - Fort Hood The FMWR Business Operations Division plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality of life for the installation's personnel and their families, providing services and activities that contribute to the overall mission of Fort Hood.

The Business Operations Division offers a variety of services including: Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Bowling, and Golf. Incentives and Bonuses Retention incentives will not be paid.

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience directing/managing one or more DMWR Business Operations activities for a garrison, or similar civilian operation, for at least one year.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" : At least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in business operations management within Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) or similar environment.

AND Experience in budget management, financial analysis, and resource allocation. AND Experience in NAF contract management and procurement processes.

  • Through subordinate activity managers, is responsible for overall management and direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DMWR) Business Division at a large garrison.
  • To include most of the following activities: Clubs, Food and Beverage, Entertainment, Bowling, Golf, Mobile Snack Facilities, Public-Private Venture, contracted business operations, arts and crafts and auto crafts.
  • Directs, develops and administers plans and procedures. Implements, enforces, and ensures compliance with regulations to provide aggressive community business program which meets the needs and interests of the military community.
  • Provides leadership/supervision to ensure attainment of the established objectives of the division. Reviews program objectives and priorities, develops five-year plan with Annual Operating Budgets covering projected programs of division resources.
  • Develops and/or recommends methods, operations, and programs to ensure profitable business activities income. Performs other duties as assigned.
