Full Job Description

This position is located within the Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) at Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have work experience which includes performing most or al the duties described above.

Must possess a basis knowledge of federal regulations and legislation pertaining the Recycling Program and Solid waste Management.

Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management, the civilian population and local community.

Must be able to effectively lead a civilian work force and manage the associated resources.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Forklift Certified Major Duties:

  • Manages the Recycling Program by developing: employee work schedules, daily assignments and approves/disapproves leave request.
  • Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating, business activity with a fluctuating market base.
  • Coordinate functions with community, installation and higher headquarters and marketing strategies for advertising and promoting the Recycling Program.
  • Conducts management reviews of the organizations goals and objectives toward mission accomplishment to identify shortfalls and initiates appropriate corrective measures.
  • Evaluates the success of the program in terms of profitability, customer satisfaction and mission accomplishment.
  • Reviews financial reports, estimates projected costs, develops activity financial plan. Monitors procurement of all supplies and equipment for the activity. Performs other duties as assigned.
