Full Job Description

Are you curious about how clean, renewable energy powers an entire region? Want to dive into the world of hydropower and see how a public utility keeps everything running smoothly? Tacoma Power is excited to welcome a Skilled Occupational Intern to our Generation Business Services team!

In this limited-duration, trainee-level role, you’ll get hands-on experience inside one of the Pacific Northwest’s respected public power utilities.

You’ll work closely with our Business Services Manager and a team of skilled professionals who are passionate about business management and the future of clean energy.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate with program managers to obtain performance indicators for their programs. Programs include contracting, budgeting, financial management, process development, and reporting.
  • Assist the Finance team in data cleanup, validation, reporting, and financial analytics.
  • Provide support to the business analysts to create sustainable Tableau and Smartsheet dashboards to track performance indicators and fiscal stewardship.
  • Assist business analysts with data collection and research projects as needed.
  • Complete financial and business administrative duties to support the Generation Business Services team.

The hours for this position will be 40 hours per week. The term of this position is expected to be one year.
