THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a BUDGET ANALYST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D223200 and is part of the FL JFHQ, National Guard.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C.

709" and is open ONLY to ON BOARD excepted permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the Florida National Guard. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized.

Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in thebest interest of the Florida National Guard.

FLANG BUS Code NG0523: This position is "included" in the bargaining unit and eligible for labor organization representation.

Robert Morgan at rmorgan@actnat.com Military Grades: Officer/Warrant Officer/Enlisted: E7 thru O4 NOTE: Must accomplish Financial Management Certification Level Two within 24 months of employment.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education, or training involving skills in applying problem solving techniques; and skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing; ability to plan and organize work; competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through college education or progressively responsible experiences; ability to follow established methods and procedures; use practical knowledge of the operations, procedures, and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education, or training of finance budget competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures.

Candidate must have a good understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements.

A candidate must have experiences and training that demonstrate the abilities to follow directions, to read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Major Duties:

As a BUDGET ANALYST (TITLE 32), GS-0560-11, you will serve as the primary analyst regarding resource management.

Performs program analysis, including planning, programming, budgeting, funds allocation, accounts management, internal controls and reporting.

Provides fiscal and budgetary policy, and regulatory guidelines for the directorate.

Accomplishes the full spectrum of budget functions in support of state and federal operations, training, readiness missions, natural disasters, and Homeland Defense/ Defense Support of Civil Authorities (HLD/DSCA).
