This position will provide support within the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Environmental Management and Restoration (DASW(EMR)).
This is a qualified financial and resource management position that supports all aspects of accounting, auditing, budgeting, and financial management for ODASW(EMR) which has an annual internal budget in excess of $300M.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
You may qualify at the NH-III level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-III grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates knowledge of the Planning, Programming and Budget Execution (PPBE) process; knowledge of policies, processes, procedures, and regulations governing budgetary, financial and contract processes; and skills in designing, implementing, and working with advanced data collection methods.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Provides financial management support including all aspects of programming, budgeting, execution and administration across the full EMR portfolio.
Conducts in-depth analysis of budgetary data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues impacting financial performance.
Supports efforts to analyze, develop, and recommend policy on budget, financial, audit and contract matters.
