Specialized experience is defined as: Experience supporting budget execution activities for a Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB); experience accepting reimbursable funding orders, including, but not limited to, Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs) or 7600B's; or experience with Federal appropriation guidelines, rules, laws, or regulations.

Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.

Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Major Duties:

  • Monitors monthly obligations, expenditures, and work-year limitations for assigned accounts. Monitors the use and rate of expenditure of budgeted funds through continuing dialogue with management officials and their staffs, review of written document
  • Allocates funds individual organizations/programs based on an analysis of budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding.
  • Advises program managers and management officials on the status and availability of funds.
  • Coordinates and reacts to resource/funding/programmatic changes. Evaluates the effect of cost and program changes on the budget execution process. Analyses productivity, workload and program accomplishments.
  • Participates in the monitoring of year-end closing to ensure proper and full use of provided funds, with no anti-deficiency violation.
