Summary

This job is for a Budget Assistant at Fort Hamilton, New York, where you'll help managers create and track budgets for a non-appropriated fund organization, including gathering data, verifying numbers, and preparing reports.

Full Job Description

This position is located at Fort Hamilton, New York. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Progressively responsible experience involving duties similar to those described above.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": At least 6 months experience managing budgets.

At least 6 months experience using excel and other Microsoft Office tools. Experience must be clearly reflected on resume to receive credit.

Applicants who meet Highly Preferred Criteria will be referred to management first. Major Duties:

  • Performs administrative duties assisting managers with budget formulation and preparation.
  • Assists with monitoring budget execution for the NAFI.
  • Gathers, verifies and compiles a variety of narrative and statistical data used in budget formulation and presentation.
  • Corrects or recommends the adjustment of inconsistent totals, subtotals and individual entries.
  • Prepares summaries of narrative, quantitative and statistical data in budget forms, schedules and reports.
