Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900
Typical requirements: Executive-level leadership experience. Senior executive qualifications required.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing environmental cleanup projects at contaminated sites known as brownfields, negotiating contracts, overseeing assessments and remediation work, and ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental laws in South Carolina.
It supports revitalizing old industrial areas while protecting public health and the environment.
A good fit would be someone with a science background in earth sciences, experience in environmental projects, and strong skills in communication and technical oversight.

This position serves as the Brownfields Project Manager for the Bureau of Land and Waste Management.
Under general supervision will assist in the implementation of SC's Brownfields/Voluntary Cleanup Program.
Additionally, the employee will assist administration of a program to meet the requirements of the Small Business Liability Relief & Brownfields Revitalization Act.
Job Responsibilities:Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
