As a Branch Chief, you will review the effectiveness of program office operations at all levels and issues program office governance and operating policies and procedures.

The GS-15 salary range starts at $169,279 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or higher in the Federal service.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Overseeing and executing all stages of program management, which includes planning, development, implementation, analysis, evaluation, and the development of complex budgets.
Reviewing and monitoring resource allocations, financial models, guidelines (e.g., policy, regulations) requirements for operations, including personnel and financial resources.
Establishing strategic relationships by providing executive consultation on best practices and collaborating with working groups to optimize program efficiency.
Presenting on program initiatives at meetings (e.g., work groups, conferences) to internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and share progress. Major Duties:
Develops detailed plans, tasks, milestone dates, and schedules to ensure proper sequencing of events and tracking of processes and costs throughout the life cycles of the program segment operations and projects overseen, managed, and/or executed.
Provides technical and administrative supervision to staff, by overseeing the organization's daily operations, this includes planning and scheduling work for subordinates, setting and adjusting priorities, and ensuring compliance with agency policies.
Participates in meetings with a wide variety of internal program office and external executive and/or other management and staff, such as representatives from other program office entities, agency staff offices,other federal agencies, and private industry to determine program statuses, major milestones, and effect coordination to identify and address issues such as potential delays or increased costs and determine appropriate action(s) required to maintain or improve program office, business, and/or other schedules and operations.
Administrative resource responsibilities include management decision-making advice and guidance in consideration of program office and subordinate organizational goals for long-term cost controls and comparable resource concerns in relation to program office budgetary and other financial decisions, actions, and projected outcomes.
Conducts, delegates, or directs quantitative and qualitative analyses and evaluations of the effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of assigned program segment business resource operations in meeting established objectives.
Implements or recommends to management methods to improve business processes, procedures, and operational effectiveness and incorporates lessons learned from audit, evaluative, or other findings.
