Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage safety and health programs at a naval undersea warfare center, ensuring everything complies with rules and supporting the organization on safety issues.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Branch Head of Safety and Health Programs for NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NT-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in a leadership role administering occupational safety and health programs, advising, supporting, and evaluating programs for compliance with policies and regulations.

  • You will administer overall safety compliance programs, advise and directly support the command in all safety matters pertaining to Naval Undersea Warfare Center.
  • You will evaluate and assess overall safety program compliance with all applicable policies and regulations and prepare and present complex critical and technical oral and written communication.
  • You will supervise safety branch responsibilities for hiring, performance and conduct, time and attendance, and workload management.
  • You will apply expert knowledge of federal safety and occupational health laws, policies, regulations and standards, operational directives and methodologies, and objectives.
  • You will direct, coordinate, and oversee the technical efforts of the unit, which may include subordinate supervisors and team leaders.
  • You will formulate goals and objectives, plan and evaluate programs, and implement changes to achieve effective economic operations and organization structures.
