The Screen-out Element for this position is: developing and training of all employees in the section; updating and maintaining monthly operations maintenance schedules; and planning work assignments, considering trade(s) or other occupations involved, availability of manpower and equipment, deadlines, and other work projects.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will plan usage of personnel, equipment, facility, and material resources of the Steam Generation Section to ensure proper operation and maintenance of steam generating plants aboard Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River.
  • You will plan, review, and submit five-year plant and system equipment replacement and improvement for the Long Range Maintenance Plan and the Backlog Maintenance and Repair Program.
  • You will plan, review, coordinate, and direct the work activities and personnel of the section, and review and analyze work production records to insure personnel utilization and resources are cost effective.
  • You will promote plant safety and ensure availability of proper instructions in use of individual and plant safety equipment.
  • You will select new employees from qualified and eligible applicants; review performance ratings and disciplinary actions; resolve complaints and counsel employees; grant leave; and maintain timecards.
  • You will maintain records of fuel consumed, production reports, and maintenance performed.
