Full Job Description

This announcement will be used to fill vacancies for various FMWR facilities on Fort Wainwright, Alaska. These facilities include City Center, Chena Bend Golf Course and the Warrior Zone!

Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be paid. Up to 25% recruitment and/or retention incentive may be authorized for positions offering at least a guarantee of 10 hours per week.

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Must meet state/local age requirements (18) for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment. 2.

Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds. 3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills, make change and take inventory. 4.

Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. 5. Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff. 6.

Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons and take necessary remedial action. 7. Skill in recognizing impending shortages of inventory. Major Duties:

  • Operates a small full-service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Keeps bar, utensils, equipment and work area clean and sanitary.
  • Uses tact and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.
  • Keeps records of quantities of beverages dispensed and submits requirement for re-stocking to supervisor.
