This job is for a bartender at a Marine Corps community center in South Carolina, where you'll mix and serve drinks, handle payments, keep the bar clean and stocked, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for Marines and their families.

Skills and Knowledge: Ability to mix and serve a wide variety of beverages by combining ingredients such as liquors, soda, water, sugar, bitters and fruit garnishes.
Serves liqueur, beer, and wine, and is skillful in mixing such beverages as an Alexander, Margarita, Zombi, Singapore Sling, etc.
Skill to completely set-up a bar and to recognize impending shortages of supplies based on the volume of business and insure their timely replacement.
Ability to collect tabs, chits or cash in appropriate amounts and is accountable for cash and inventory for the period worked.
Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed.
Responsibility: Instructions concerning the proper operation of the bar are furnished orally or in writing by the manager.
Incumbent is held responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability. Physical Effort: Must walk or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Frequent light to moderate lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Uses dolly to transport beer kegs.
Working Conditions: Works inside with adequate lighting, heat, and ventilation. Subject to cuts, bruises, and chapped hands. Major Duties:
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Prepares and serves all types of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a full service bar. Mixes a wide variety of drinks to order, following a variety of established recipes.
Receives payment or charges to member's account. Makes change and is accountable for cash fund. Assists in taking inventory and maintaining records.
Keeps bar area clean and keeps area stocked properly at all times. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. May perform other sanitation duties within assigned work area as required.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.
Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly.
Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.
Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Maintains personal identification information IAW with prescribed regulations and ensures confidentiality and security of information.
Handles sensitive information that is proprietary, privileged, confidential, or otherwise legally exempt from disclosure.
Safeguards sensitive information and prevents unauthorized reading, printing, retaining, copying or dissemination of information, messages, or correspondence in accordance with rules and regulations such as those covered by the Privacy Act, 5 USC 552(a), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Public Law 104-191, and DoD Directive 6025.18.
Notifies the higher level supervisor and senders immediately when personal identification information has been released and advises on how to properly recover, and/or protect information.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
