This bailiff role supports judges in running civil court sessions by handling tasks like calling cases, managing evidence, updating records, and assisting with jury trials, all without any security duties.
It's ideal for someone organized and detail-oriented who enjoys administrative work in a busy court environment and can communicate well with lawyers, the public, and court staff.
A high school diploma is the minimum, but computer skills and higher education can boost your chances and pay.
To assist the Judge or Magistrate in the administration of court operations . To insure the efficient and accurate operation of the Court. *This is not a security position*
High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education beneficial. Proven accomplished computer skills required.
The bailiff duties involve an extensive amount of computer entry, updating, and information research.
Excellent organizational skills and strict attention to details are essential, with the ability to multi-task extremely beneficial.
Exceptional communication skills are required, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of individuals.
Salary is based on applicable experience.
Salary enhancements are available for Associate's or Bachelor's degrees, as well as bi-lingual skills.
Marion county residency is required within six months of employment.
