Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years supervisory experience in a variety of recreational activities with preference at a beach recreational facility.

Experience with Rec Trac recreation management software or RMS property management system preferred. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, officials, and others. Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred.

This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Major Duties:

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Assist the Manager in the supervision, management, and administration of the beach complex recreational activity.

Plans and implements the various phases and projects of the program and handles problems and deviations in accordance with standing instructions and established procedures.

Assists in carrying out program projects, primarily in program planning, staff training, and administrative duties, and managing the budgets/expenses while monitoring sales and profits.

Ensures the work is completed in compliance with established procedures and instructions. Trains new employees, instructs proper procedures and solves problems related to work.

Supervises employees to include assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending, and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews, and signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, prevention of sexual harassment, and ensures compliance with fire, safety, security, sanitation and other environmental issues.

Assists the Event Coordinator Manager in organizing special events. Able to handle cash responsibly and prepare deposits daily. Successfully troubleshoot discrepancies from previous shifts and correct.

Visible in the guest area during high traffic times to assist the front office associates. Assumes operational duties in the absence of the Manager.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.

Promotes total guest satisfaction by addressing complaints, answering inquiries, and resolving problems that guests may have encountered.

Initiates and follows up on additional tasks to improve existing procedures and guest satisfaction. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Knowledge of all emergency plans; know how to act upon them and notify general and or regional manager by thoroughly completing and submitting an incident report.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other duties as assigned.
