Job Description

Summary

This job is for an assistant golf professional at a military base in Alabama, where you'll help run golf programs, teach lessons to individuals and groups, and promote the activity to encourage participation.

It's ideal for someone passionate about golf who enjoys interacting with people and has some teaching experience.

A good fit would be an enthusiastic beginner or intermediate golf instructor pursuing professional certification.

  • Skills in promoting and marketing golf programs and activities

  • Completion of required training in compliance with DoD and Army policies

Full Job Description

This position is located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.

Must possess the ability to instruct the game of golf as evidenced through completion or current enrollment in pursuit of Class A PGA Certification.

Experience MUST be clearly reflected on your Resume at the time of application to be considered Major Duties:

  • Will provide care for program participants in compliance with DoD, Army and local policies, guidance, and standards. Will interact with patrons and deliver superior patron experience.
  • Encourages patron interest, participation, and helps promote a positive golf experience.
  • Completes designated training requirements and records completed training on own in a developmental capacity, assists in the daily operation of the Golf Activity.
  • Carries out instructions and directives as necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base. Assists in the marketing and promotion of the golf activity and programs.
  • Provides golf instructions to individuals and groups. Assists in the scheduling and conducting of golf related activities and tournaments. Performs other duties assigned.
