This job involves assisting in the leadership of a prison intake and classification division, overseeing the processing of new inmates, managing staff in areas like records, medical checks, and security, and ensuring everything runs smoothly for about 650 people entering the system each month.
It's a supervisory role in a corrections setting, focusing on operations and compliance with timelines.
A good fit would be someone with experience in administrative work in prisons or similar environments, strong leadership skills, and attention to detail for handling sensitive records and processes.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and three (3) years responsible administrative/classification/inmate records experience to include one (1) year of supervisory experience.
OR
An associate degree and four (4) years responsible administrative/classification/inmate records experience to include two (2) years of supervisory experience.
OR
A high school diploma and seven (7) years responsible administrative/classification/inmate records experience to include three (3) years of supervisory experience
