  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting and profit/loss analysis (highly preferred)
  • Experience overseeing food and beverage operations, such as menu development, inventory control, and health/safety compliance (highly preferred)
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of subordinates (highly preferred)
  • Experience with financial tracking systems like RECTRAC or similar (highly preferred)
  • Experience managing public recreation facilities, including cleaning schedules, maintenance, and asset lifecycle management (highly preferred)

Full Job Description

This position is located at the Community Activity Center on Fort Wainwright, AK. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be paid but are not guaranteed.

Up to 25% recruitment or relocation incentive may be paid (service agreement required). Recruitment incentives are applicable to newly hired individuals/rehired individuals.

Relocation incentives are applicable to current, regular full-time NAF employees accepting a position in a different geographical location with no break in service. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: One year of experience assisting in managing a business applying basic knowledge of bowling (assist managing bowling leagues/tournaments and league/tournament services, etc.).

OR Four years of education above high school in Business Management or related field and have the basic knowledge of bowling (assist managing bowling leagues/tournaments and league/tournament services).

*Transcripts must be uploaded at time of application. AND Must possess a basic knowledge of bowling.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 1 year of experience with financial management, including budgeting, and profit and loss analysis.

1 year of experience in overseeing food and beverage operations, including menu development, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of subordinates. 1 year of experience with RECTRAC Daily Activity Reports or similar financial tracking and reporting system.

Experience with FoodTrac or similar system. Experience with IMenu or similar program.

1 year of experience in managing a public or community recreation facility, such as a community center or commercial indoor playground.

Experience in developing and overseeing schedules for routine cleaning, sanitation, and preventative maintenance.

Skill in managing the lifecycle of facility assets, including tracking equipment, scheduling repairs, and planning for future replacements to prevent downtime. Major Duties:

  • Manages a bowling or family-entertainment bowling facility.
  • Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.
  • Organizes, develops, implements and reviews programming, promotions, and special events to provide a garrison recreational service while maintaining a positive image in local community relations.
  • Develops and manages leagues/tournaments and league/tournament services.
  • Systematically provides and reviews financial management, personnel administration, property and internal control management to ensure compliance with policies, benchmarks, and standards.
  • Develops, implements and reviews activity business plan, including budget, marketing, and capital purchase and minor construction plans.
