This internship with Tacoma Power involves helping organize and manage data for equipment and maintenance records, building dashboards to track inventory, and improving processes using tools like SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
It's a hands-on role for summer or longer, focusing on data entry, automation, and collaboration with staff to keep everything well-organized.
A good fit would be a student or recent grad who is detail-oriented, enjoys tech tools, and wants to learn about utility asset management without needing advanced experience.

Tacoma Power's Power Shared Services division is looking for an Asset Investment Planning Intern to join their team this Summer!
The Intern will get the opportunity to apply their skills & gain valuable experience working with PSS Asset Investment Planning (AIP) staff to support asset data collection and entry and the development of data dashboards reflecting inventory and maintenance information for PSS assets, as well as SharePoint site maintenance, data management process development, automation and delegation.
Other opportunities may also be available depending upon the successful completion of primary goals and/or the skills and interests of the intern. Responsibilities Include:
The expected duration of the internship 40 hours per week for at least 12 weeks, with the opportunity to extend as long as 50 weeks.
