THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN 122nd Fighter Wing, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D009700.

MILITARY GRADES: E3 through E6 COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: *2A6X4 If applicant is willing to join the Indiana Air National Guard and meet the AFSC compatibility requirements, please upload your Report Individual of Personnel (RIP) to your documents on this application to determine ASVAB qualification.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which provided a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles. Experience in fabricating fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines.

Experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts. Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies.

Experience in repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience in mechanical repairs using hand tools and test equipment.

Experience that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications.

Directors and Supervisors will submit the signed memorandum for final review to the HRO Staffing inbox: ng.in.inarng.mbx.hro-staffing-section@army.mil The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is the final approval for all ETP waivers.

If approved, the memorandum will be returned to you and then submitted with your application. Major Duties:

• Utilizing electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics and technical publications, determines extent and type of preventative and/or repair maintenance required.
• Connects power sources, and using cockpit controls, gauges and additional precision instruments, performs operational and functional checks of inflight refueling, single point refueling and fuel transfer systems and related valves, etc.
• Performs leak check of aircraft fuel systems by visual inspection or by removal of panels and dye tracing fuel leaks.
• Diagnoses and overhauls fuel accessories by disassembling, cleaning, and examining parts for corrosion, scratches, cracks or other damage.
• Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as ORI, IG, and DE inspections, mobility, and command support exercises.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
