This job involves maintaining and repairing C-130 aircraft for the Missouri Air National Guard, including inspections, troubleshooting, and coordinating with a team to keep planes flight-ready.
It's a permanent role for someone already serving in the Guard who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and can lead junior staff during drills.

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This is a Permanent WG-8852-10 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1366000 and is part of the MO 139th Airlift Wing.
This is a bargaining position. This position is also advertised on AGR announcement #AF26-023.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air National Guard.
Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
Maximum Military Grade - MSgt (E-7) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess general experience, education or training which has provided the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications, and skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment.
WG-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification; and coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow.
The specialized experience must also include the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container.
