This job is for a lead mechanic in a small Army National Guard shop, where you'll oversee a team fixing hydraulic and pneumatic systems on aircraft, like hoses, pumps, and valves, to keep equipment ready for missions.
It's a hands-on role that involves planning work, ensuring safety, and preparing for inspections or emergencies.
A good fit would be someone with strong mechanical experience in aircraft maintenance, leadership skills, and a commitment to serving in the Missouri Army National Guard.
This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position.
This is an Indefinite Reimbursable WG-8268-11 AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC (SMALL SHOP CHIEF) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2767000 and is part of the MO TASMG Shop.
This is a bargaining unit position. SEE NOTES UNDER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army National Guard.
Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
Maximum Military Grade - CW3 (W-3) with date of rank after 12 September 2022 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training that demonstrates the knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work.
WG-11 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience or training that provided a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; experience in fabricating fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines; experience servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems; experience in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts.
Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies; experience in repairing, rebuilding, and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems; experience that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications.
