Full Job Description

You will serve as an AIR OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the AIR OPERATIONS PROGRAM of COMNAVREGSW SDIEGO.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing guidance to Air Operations Program Director in the development of policies affecting all airfield equipment maintenance Experience evaluating business practices to reduce maintenance costs Experience establishing appropriate standards to monitor performance of equipment maintenance Experience assisting installation maintenance officers in implementing maintenance policies Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0300/miscellaneous-administration-and-program-series-0301/ Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

  • You will provide leadership, continuity of experience, historical reference and expert advice on management and improvement of business practices.
  • You will provide detailed trend analysis regarding planned and unplanned maintenance requirements of critical airfield systems.
  • You will develop, create and review Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and Inter-Service Support Agreements (ISSA).
  • You will develop, identify, coordinate and/or submit data required for use for Regional Air Operations.
  • You will maintain a high level of technical expertise regarding digital information dissemination procedures and systems.
  • You will analyze/create Performance Work Statements (PWS) and contracts to determine financial feasibility and mission suitability.
