Job Description

Summary

This job involves planning and executing recruitment efforts to bring promising leaders from around the world to security studies courses and workshops at a Defense Department center in Hawaii.

You'll build partnerships with government officials, embassies, and organizations to identify and attract top talent, while evaluating and improving the selection process to strengthen the center's network of influential alumni.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a ADMISSIONS PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the ADMISSIONS DEPARTMENT of DDHBAP ASIA PACIFIC CENTER FOR SECURITY STUDIES.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing a comprehensive recruiting strategy and operational recruitment plans to identify and attract future regional leaders to Center courses and workshops.

Collaborates, maintains relationships, and acts as a liaison officer with DoD, U.S. State Department, foreign governments, U.S.

embassy contacts, functional chiefs, and training personnel at all levels.

  • You will coordinate with the Program Recruiter to develop a comprehensive recruiting strategy and operational recruitment plans in partnership with key Center stakeholders to include College of Security Studies and Regional Engagement Operations.
  • You will Identify and attract future regional leaders to Center courses and workshops, resulting in them becoming strong advocates, active alumni, and key regional influences.
  • You will enhance and expand the brand awareness and audience reach by designing and/or participating in the Center's core events and activities that attract and gather client base and partners.
  • You will provide continuous evaluation of the participant referral, nomination and selection process, providing information to the recruiter, registrar Director, and staff on the latest trends and methods for participant selection.
  • You will identify sources where potential attendees might originate and research statistical information concerning participating nations, and overall effectiveness of the recruitment process.
