Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage foreign military sales for Navy ordnance programs, coordinating with various offices and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution, timely deliveries, and proper funding.

It focuses on analyzing requirements, solving problems, and keeping everyone updated on progress.

A good fit would be someone with experience in government acquisitions or defense projects who is organized, good at teamwork, and skilled in handling complex logistics.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the CAD/PAD Division (E2), Acquisition Branch (E21) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions.

This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $158,322).

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating Foreign Military Sales requirements to identify problems and recommend solutions for improvement in support of an ordnance program.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will serve as Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Team Leader involved in all CAD/PAD programs and projects supporting Navy FMS with the purpose of coordinating efforts among different branches and staff within the CAD/PAD Division.
  • You will work with the CAD/PAD Joint Program Office, sponsors, and key suppliers (including NSWC IHD M department, contractors and Defense Contract Management Agency) in order to promote cooperation, efficiency, and integration.
  • You will provide processes for each type of work to meet customer delivery schedules (i.e., pricing and availability supporting Letters of Request and subsequent Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA), procurement requests/work orders reviews.
  • You will communicate with supervisor and customers to keep them aware of status and any problems or delays.
  • You will ensure Delivery Status Reports are accurate, issued on time and includes the necessary information to relay current status and program impacts as necessary.
  • You will ensure sufficient funding is available to support Acquisition, Engineering, Data Management, Production and Test for each item.
