Summary

This job involves managing projects in electromagnetic warfare systems for the Navy, focusing on keeping costs, timelines, and performance on track while communicating with teams and leaders.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (Task Manager) in the Project Management Branch (WXMM), Maritime Electromagnetic Warfare Systems Division (WXM), Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare Department (WX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions.

This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370).

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating program budget requirements to ensure cost, performance, and schedule expectations are met in support of customer objectives.

  • You will meet project cost, schedule and performance commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, etc., in accordance with the WXM Project Management Handbook.
  • You will be responsible and accountable for successfully initiating, planning, implementing, executing and monitoring and controlling of their project(s), including ensuring the Integrated Master Schedule is accurate.
  • You will aid resource owners in understanding requirements and cost constraints to ensure the appropriate staffing of projects.
  • You will work with resource owner and Core Team to accurately identify, plan, estimate cost and communicate that information to the customer.
  • You will present oral and written reports to define and/or communicate plans, status, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
