Summary

This role involves managing budgets, schedules, and performance for Navy modeling and simulation projects, working closely with engineers and stakeholders to meet program goals and mitigate risks.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Mission Engineering Branch (MXML), Model Based Engineering & Analysis Division (MXM), Rapid Mission Integration & Interoperability Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13/14.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating program budget requirements to ensure cost, performance, and schedule expectations are met in support of customer objectives.

  • You will provide expertise in financial and programmatic management functions supporting the Navy Modeling and Simulation Office.
  • You will work with technical experts and engineers in planning as well as monitoring and controlling the cost, schedule and performance of the program.
  • You will work with sponsors and stakeholders in establishing requirements and developing cost estimates for those requirements.
  • You will follow the Model Based Engineering and Analysis Division Project management in the development and maintenance of schedules, cost estimates, spend plans, and resource planning.
  • You will prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders that detail all aspects of project/program execution.
  • You will be responsible for identifying program risks and working with technical experts in developing appropriate strategies to mitigate these risks.
