Job Description

Summary

This job involves working as a financial systems analyst for the Navy, where you'll create and manage detailed financial reports, fix issues in budgeting and accounting systems, and ensure everything follows government rules.

Key Requirements

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Financial Systems Analyst in the Comptroller Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band or equivalent grade levels (GS-11/12) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a Professional Accountant applying accounting regulations, policies, and practices by analyzing financial scenarios and budget execution to identify and resolve financial issues affecting financial management systems.

  • You will develop, validate, and maintain complex financial reports, linking dashboards, and tools that require merging multiple data sets from Navy ERP, the Enterprise Digital Capabilities (EDC), and locally maintained enterprise databases.
  • You will lead NSWC Corona's FSA efforts and contribute significantly to Navy-wide reporting initiatives.
  • You will interpret and apply a wide range of regulatory and policy guidance, including Working Capital Fund directives, to ensure system integrity and compliance.
  • You will identify systemic issues, recommend solutions, and implement changes that directly impact command-wide operations.
  • You will resolve financial reporting discrepancies, influence data strategy, and ensure alignment with enterprise-level financial systems requirements.
  • You will manage the Comptroller Department's reporting repository, driving improved communication, process efficiency, and transparency.
