This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Attention to Detail Customer Service Decision Making Flexibility Integrity/Honesty Interpersonal Skills Learning Reading Comprehension Reasoning Self-Management Stress Tolerance Teamwork Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).

Major Duties:

  • The purpose of this position is to function as a central point on all matters related to providing administrative services and clerical support to the Division.
  • Duties include, but are not limited to, budget directives, facilities, space, logistics, special travel services, reports, supplies, etc.
  • Assist in the consolidation of annual funding estimates for the serviced offices into the operating budget.
  • Prepare meeting agenda, including such items as unfinished business from previous meetings, current issues, and notifications of members.
  • Research agency regulations, manuals, handbooks and other reference materials, including new guidelines issued by higher authorities to insure local regulations are up to date and in compliance, and provides copies to members.
  • Review all written material for completeness, accuracy, proper preparation, and advises on appropriate methods to eliminate points of non-conformance.
  • Incumbent performs timekeeping and related duties, using CEFMS, insures labor charges are appropriately assessed to projects currently being worked on, ensures overtime and leave are properly documented.
  • Prepare travel orders and travel vouchers for all supported employees, delivers airplane tickets to appropriate employee(s), makes arrangements for government usage, and initiates all airplane, hotel, and rental car reservations
