Summary

This job is for an administrative assistant in the Army's recreation division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where you'll handle day-to-day office tasks like managing paperwork, supporting operations, and serving as the main contact for team needs.

Full Job Description

This position is located at Recreation Division Admin, Fort Bragg, NC. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Army NAF paysetting rules apply to this vacancy.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience directly related to the duties described above. Ability to type 40 words per minute.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess in-depth knowledge of Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (DFMWR_ programs, services, and the operational structure of the DFMWR.

Demonstrate expertise in composing, editing, and routing official correspondence, including the preparation of award submissions, formal memos, and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

In order to be considered for the highly preferred criteria, your resume must show that you meet BOTH the minimum qualifications, and ALL of the high preferred criteria.

Applicants meeting ALL criteria will be considered best qualified, and will be referred to the selecting official first.

Remaining applicants will be referred for consideration if the certificate (referral list) is returned with no selection. Major Duties:

  • Actively participates in the management of the activity or organization by performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative support duties. Serves as the central point of contact for matters related to day-to-day operations.
  • Applies knowledge of the organization, its functions and regulations to carryout a wide variety of administrative functions related to the organization and its mission
  • (e.g., personnel, accounting, budget, purchasing, logistics and supply, transportation, security, etc).
  • Exercises independent judgement. Composes operating procedures and sets internal priorities to generate improvements in administrative services.
  • An extensive knowledge of rules, operations, and practices, and judgment in locating and selecting the most appropriate guidelines is required. Performs other duties related to office automation requiring a skill in general office settings.
