Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves providing administrative support to a team focused on stormwater management, including organizing and digitizing records, improving processes, and handling budget and enforcement tasks in a government department that protects water quality and natural habitats.
It's ideal for someone organized and detail-oriented who enjoys working with diverse teams on environmental projects. Only current employees in the Department of Natural Resources and Parks can apply.

This is an exciting new position in Stormwater Services reporting to the Section Manager.
The successful candidate will work with a diverse group of staff throughout the section to develop a cohesive records management structure.
This will include working with each unit to ensure records are digitized, develop SharePoint and/or Teams file structures, and ensure records retention requirements are met.
This role will also support staff with the administrative duties of the enforcement process and serve as backup to the purchasing focused Administrative Specialist in Stormwater Services.
About the Team:At least three (3) years of experience in an administrative or program support role with at least two years focused on records management.
Skilled in problem solving, work planning, making timely and quality decisions, and working in partnership with diverse and multi-disciplinary staff and customers.
Experience working with technical staff to access records in electronic formats.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Public Records Act requirements (RCW 42.56) and the Preservation and Destruction of Public Records (RCW 40.14) requirements.
Familiarity with King County policies, procedures, and systems.
Onsite Work Details:
Work Location: The Stormwater Services team works in a hybrid model, with days in the office as well as telecommuting.
The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. The primary onsite location is King Street Center, 201 S.
Jackson St, Seattle, WA Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.
The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment.
Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a in-home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
