Full Job Description

Do you have experience in Data Quality and Record keeping? Are you detail oriented? Do you enjoy working with the public? If so, the Department of Motor Vehicles may have a position for you as a Compliance Specialist. The team at DMV values teamwork, commitment, and excellent customer service.



This position is in Driver Records CDL Helpdesk, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Headquarters in Blythewood, S.C.


****This is a Temporary Grant Position****



Responsibilities of the Temp Grant Compliance Specialist

• Responsible for receiving and processing Medical Certificates, add to Commercial Driver's record within the allotted time, (10) days.
• Data Cleansing, responsible for AAMVA reports, resolving potential data inconsistencies or errors to improve quality.
• Prepares Medical Certificates for scanning.
• Sends Correspondence to customers for Medical Certificate error(s).
• Process daily mail, faxes, and e-mail.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.

Agency Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to learn and explain policy and procedures to DMV customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Works under general supervision after a period of training
• Works in general office environment. May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week.
• Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs. The work requires sitting for prolonged periods of time and significant time spent at a computer terminal.
