Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the CONTRACTS DEPARTMENT of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or NO-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of a wide variety of contracting methods and contract types sufficient to perform pre-award, post-award, contract price, cost analysis functions when the contract actions are not well defined or well precedence; knowledge of statutes, regulations, and procedures so as to be able to perform procurement functions that are not well defined or well precedented.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will be responsible for contract close-out of all actions awarded by NIWC PAC Contracts Dept. to include contracts, task/delivery orders, purchase orders, grants and cooperative agreements.
  • You will be responsible for performing administrative actions related to contract close out, e.g., modifications to de-obligate excess funding.
  • You will work closely with NIWC Pacific Comptroller personnel to obtain payment information for locally entitled contract actions.
  • You will provide direction to subordinate personnel for the processing of patent certifications and final acceptance requests by DCMA and ONR; provide direction for the shipment of contract files to federal records.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining the close-out database to reflect the current status of each action and collecting, analyzing and creating report data for senior leadership, and data calls.
