Applicants must be at least (1)18 years old or (2) at least 16 years old and: (a) Have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or (b) Have completed a formal vocational training program; or (c) Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with their preference for employment rather than continuing their education; or (d) Be currently enrolled in a secondary school and either work only during school vacation periods or work part-time during the school year under a formal student employment program.
As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-year Supervisory probationary period during which your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest will be evaluated.
This Supervisory probationary period is an extension of the appointment process and therefore requires the agency to determine if continued employment would advance the public interest, meet the organization goals and mission of the agency, and/or otherwise promote the efficiency of the service.
In determining if your employment advances the public interest, the agency will consider: your performance and conduct; the needs and interests of the agency; whether your continued employment would advance organizational goals of the agency or the Government; and whether your continued employment would advance the efficiency of the Federal service.
Under applicable law, the employment of an individual serving a probationary or trial period automatically terminates when that period ends unless the agency affirmatively certifies, in writing, that the individual's employment should continue and that their appointment should be finalized.
In the absence of agency action to affirmatively certify continued employment beyond the probationary or trial period, such appointments are terminated.
Upon completion of your Supervisory probationary period your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.

For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted.

EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors).
This experience includes activities such as: planning, coordinating, and tracking budget/finance for a variety of fund sources and interdisciplinary work groups; and providing position and workforce management analyses and recommendations.
Overseeing or managing a procurement and property management program; managing an Information Technology program, housing program, concessions management, and/or analyzing and reconciling budget and fiscal documents; assisting with or developing budget submissions; project management, hiring actions, FBMS property roles, generating a variety of written documents, reports, etc., to communicate detailed administrative information; and explaining, planning, directing, or recommending or providing guidance on regulatory or statutory requirements, policies, and procedures.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Provide accurate and reliable advice on a wide range of administrative functions as these apply to the park, either as personal advisory service to the Superintendent and Division Chiefs or by directing (or obtaining services of) specialists, technicians and clerical support positions in delivering services to management and employees of the park.
As a member of the park management team, plans, analyzes and monitors the formulation and development of park-wide plans, programs, procedures, operating policies, internal controls and program goals.
Responsible for keeping the park's revenues and spending in balance through sound advice and supervision of the staff of the Administration/Business Office dedicated to budget and financial management on a day-to-day basis.
Is responsible for providing information technology, connectivity, communications (local, long distance, cellular and/or satellite telephone, facsimile) and automation advice in support of programs for the park, and for directing the work of staff assigned to provide technical support to the park.
Supervises the business management/administration staff of the park.
