The Department of Labor & Industry, Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer 1.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team within the Bureau’s Information and Employers Services Helpline, an essential resource for injured workers, their families and workers’ compensation stakeholders.

In the role of Administrative Officer 1, you will manage the overall operation of the Information and Employers Services Helpline.
Work includes establishing performance measures, monitoring operations and working with policy and procedural changes to improve customer service and Helpline efficiency.
Our team will rely on you to identify, recommend, and test Workers’ Compensation Automation and Integration System (WCAIS) processes and procedures.
This position supervises six Administrative Assistants engaged in handling workers’ compensation disputes, inquiries, and calls related to the WCAIS via the Bureau’s telephone service.
Customer service skills will be key as you take calls from injured workers, employees, employers or anyone involved in a workers’ compensation matter and provide information or assistance in solving problems.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. The expectation will be that employees will be onsite two days a week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
