This role supports the Vice President for Business Affairs at Midlands Technical College by handling day-to-day administrative tasks, managing projects and budgets, and coordinating meetings with college leaders and external groups.
It involves organizing schedules, travel, and reports to keep everything running smoothly in the business division.

Direct the business and support activities for the VPBA.
Develop and manage projects, reports, research, and correspondence needed by the VPBA, MTC Commission, President, Executive Council, and Business Affairs Division. Prioritize projects and tasks.
Delegate tasks accordingly to meet deadlines.
Responsible for calendaring, coordinating travel arrangements, receiving and delivering messages, and ensuring VPBA is up to date on all appointments and/or changes in calendar.
Facilitate activities between the VP for Business Affairs and the eight major units of the college.
Coordinate special projects, schedule meetings, manage the EPMS process to ensure VPBA's direct reports are evaluated timely and in accordance with procedure, coordinate the interview process and logistics for positions that will report to the VPBA.
Develop and manage the VPBA budget, monitor expenditures for compliance with budgeted line items, process procurement, make budget transfers as required, and manage office inventory for the VPBA.
Coordinate, consult, and manage fiscal matters with the directors within Business Affairs.
Plan and coordinate activities and serve as a liaison to MTC sub-committees of the Commission, including the Resource Management Committee and the Facilities and Operations Committees to include coordinating the meetings, sending e-mails with instructions, ensuring agendas are accurate and posted timely by working with the appropriate staff.
Plan and coordinate activities for the VPBA.
Develop solutions, recommendations and respond to inquiries from external constituents to include county council officials, legislators and other public and private officials.
Keep VPBA apprised of findings impacting the VPBA’s area of responsibility. Serve as liaison for the VPBA Office and represent the VP at meetings as needed.
