This part-time administrative assistant role in Ramsey County's Workforce Solutions department involves serving as the primary contact for job seekers and clients, handling phone calls, greeting visitors, managing mail, and providing excellent customer service at the CareerForce location in St.

The current vacancy is in the Workforce Solutions department.
This 20 hour per week, onsite position (at the Ramsey County Government Center) is the main point of contact for Workforce Solutions, helping clients and job seekers connect with programs, services, and job search resources within the county.
They are responsible for attending the phone and tracking all calls, greeting people that enter CareerForce – Saint Paul, processing incoming and outgoing mail, and providing a high level of customer service to each person that calls in or enters our space in person.
This posting will remain open for application until filled. Interviews will be scheduled on an ongoing basis until positions are filled.To perform administrative support functions for office support or customer service activities, and responsibilities are typically based on defined goals and processes or methods.
Job duties may include records maintenance, public contact and general office services; and to perform related duties as assigned.
Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
Experience: Three (3) years of office support, customer service or administrative experience.
Substitution: Equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
This is an unclassified, limited duration, at-will position. This position requires an open screening and selection process. There is no exam for this unclassified, at-will, position.

Definition of Unclassified from the Ramsey County Personnel Act:
Subdivision 1. General. "The appointing authority may discharge employees in the unclassified service with or without cause.
Employees in the unclassified service have no right to a grievance appeal from discharge or other disciplinary action under sections 383A.281 to 383A.301.
An employee in an unclassified position shall not have tenure but shall be entitled to all benefits associated with tenure such as vacation leave, sick leave, health insurance, and other benefits as determined by the county board."
