Full Job Description

Performs various administrative duties for DEA, DME, DCE, DBME, and Safety Representative. Duties include but are not limited to filing correspondence and contracts, data entry in spreadsheets, processing invoices, assisting with coordination of travel arrangements, routing customer requests to appropriate staff, contacting job applicants to schedule interviews, conducting driver's license screening, registering employees for training in LMS, assisting with time administration, drafting letters, and assembling handouts for various meetings. Acts as receptionist for the district office. Greets visitors upon arrival and notifies appropriate staff. Receives phone calls and transfers to appropriate District Office personnel or county offices. Provides excellent customer service. Ensures the office supply cabinet is stocked. Helps District Office employees with procurement needs using either purchase orders or procurement card. Maintains filing system for procurement card records, provides requested procurement card records for audits, and maintains a current list of procurement card holders for the District. Assists District Administrative Coordinator with CTS letters, FOIA requests, and CSCTS requests as needed. Performs during inclement weather events. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

A high school diploma and six (6) months of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.


The physical demands for the essential functions of this position include sitting or standing at a desk for extended periods and working on a computer. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.

May be required to work outside of normal work schedule, especially during inclement weather and/or other departmental-related emergencies.
