General Responsibility
Serve as the Administrative Coordinator to the CJIS Major and CJIS Systems Officer (CSO). Provide administrative, operational, and compliance support; manage calendars, documentation, ORI processes, reporting, and serve as the central communications contact and liaison with local, state, federal agencies, and internal units while ensuring compliance with CJIS, federal, and state regulations. Coordinate complex administrative activities without programmatic responsibilities.

Specific Duties
  • Manage administrative functions, including calendars, correspondence, documentation, signatures, ORI processes, and travel/interview packets.
  • Serve as operational communications specialist: triage incoming calls, correspondence, visitors; determine appropriate actions and respond professionally under stress.
  • Track and ensure timely/accurate/complete submission of CJIS reports, grants, inspections, and compliance deadlines.
  • Stay current on and assist with compliance regarding CJIS, NCIC, federal/state laws, Advisory Policy Board, Compact Council policies, and SLED/CJIS directives and policies.
  • Conduct complex special assignments and investigations as directed.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • NCIC certification is preferred.
