The Iowa Employment Appeal Board (IEAB) is hiring an Administrative Assistant 2 with expertise in unemployment insurance to join our team.
In this role, you will provide essential customer service, guide individuals through our appeal processes, and evaluate legal issues for Board review.
While not required, paralegal or unemployment insurance experience is preferred for this position.

Position Overview
As an Administrative Assistant 2, you will work under the supervision of the Board members and the Director of Administrative Operations at our office near Valley Junction in Des Moines, Iowa.
You will be responsible for providing prompt and correct, written or verbal, information regarding our process, unemployment insurance, and public employee collective bargaining elections to the public and other interested parties.
You will also be responsible for promptly and correctly docketing appeals for the Board which includes, but is not limited to, identifying the correct parties and determining what legal issues will go before the Board.
