Administrative Assistant 2 (AA2)

The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Administrative Assistant 2 at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.


Clallam Bay Corrections Center is a 900-bed male facility located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula.

It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island. This facility houses medium and close custody incarcerated individuals.

CBCC also operates a Restricted Housing Unit.


Whether the work is inside a prison, in community corrections, or in an administrative office, the Washington State Department of Corrections professional staff experience a high degree of personal satisfaction knowing they are creating environments in which all incarcerated individuals can learn to make choices that contribute to a safer society.

Requirements

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Input daily roster changes into the ATLAS program.
  • Ensure accuracy of all input.
  • Provide Shift Lieutenant’s with the correct information and resources available for each position/ post to provide supervision/security in the facility.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to all Shift Lieutenants.
  • Create monthly post orders sign off sheets for all custody post orders and update binders annually.
  • Order and maintain staff overtime meals and process.
  • Review and sort all call-in slips from previous shifts. Distribute electronically to supervisors.
  • Pre-schedule required overtime with strict compliance to the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA.)
  • Schedule On-Calls in accordance with CBA, DOC policy and On-Call Officer guidelines.
  • Council Officers on a walk-in basis or via telephone concerning leave, pay, training, leave scheduling process and assignment changes.
  • Other administrative support.

Qualifications
