The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is currently in search of a well-organized administrative professional to become part of our team as an Administrative Officer 1.
In this role, you will be accountable for various administrative tasks such as disseminating public notices, document processing, grant oversight, and contract management.

As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will be responsible for attending various meetings with municipal officials and engineers to provide guidance on waterline grants, administrative processes, and cost reimbursement invoices.
You will play an active role in developing scopes of work and negotiating township or municipality (grantee) solicitor/engineering fees prior to a grant’s execution.
In addition, you will manage regional contracts and waterline grants, including the development and management of contracts such as bottled water, laboratory, property appraisal, lawn mowing, and fence repair contracts.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
