These programs were primarily designed to promote economic development through direct state lending in industries and areas of the state that are not adequately serviced by the private sector.

As this is an on-site position, you will be working in our headquarters office located on the 9th floor of the State Office Building in beautiful downtown Juneau. You will enjoy a collaborative atmosphere in a fully resourced and modern office space, with splendid views of Mount Juneau.

The 9th floor has a fully equipped and spacious break room, that you will have full access to, as well as easy access to various restaurants and coffee shops downtown.

To be successful in this position, applicants must possess the following skill sets:

Requirements

One year of clerical work experience maintaining records that included using computer systems and performing basic arithmetic calculations.

Substitutions:
Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience.

Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month).

Qualifications

At time of interview applicants are requested to submit:
  • Three (3) most recent evaluations if available, or three (3) professional letters of recommendation.

  • List of three (3) current professional references, two (2) of which are/were supervisors with current daytime phone numbers and email addresses.

SPECIAL NOTICE
This position may require driving the division’s vehicle on an as-needed basis, as this position acts as the backup to our Office Assistant 3 and Accounting Technician 1 positions. Applicants with questions regarding this aspect of the position should contact the hiring manager, Collin Ludeman.

This position is being recruited for statewide. Currently offices are located in Juneau and Anchorage.
