The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated person with bookkeeping experience to join our team at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Laurel Highlands.

In this position, you will provide clerical accounting support in the Inmate Accounts Section.
Your work will involve performing bookkeeping duties, including recording, reviewing, classifying, and processing inmate transactions and revenue-producing activities.
You will prepare and issue release forms, prepare letters to accompany balance checks, and refund prepaid phone time to inmate accounts.
Some of your duties will include processing payments and blocked invoices, processing cash slips, and reviewing receipt of services for large contracts.
Additionally, you will answer requests from inmates concerning their account and inquiries from inmates' families.
