Requirements

In this position, you will examine purchase orders and contracts to verify accuracy, appropriate funding sources, and correct general ledger coding.

You will collaborate with purchasing agents to implement necessary revisions, such as adjusting quantities or adding line items to reflect additional services and ensure proper vendor payment.

Your responsibilities will include reconciling monthly purchasing card statements, recording payments in the APR system as they occur, and uploading all supporting documentation.

You will process refunds for checks received to offset expenditures and generate daily reports of blocked invoices.

By researching and coordinating with the appropriate parties to resolve discrepancies, you will ensure issues are corrected promptly and invoices are released for payment in a timely and accurate manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
  • An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.


Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
