Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This role involves handling financial accounting for the Navy's supply systems, including analyzing transactions, preparing reports, and fixing issues in financial data to support program operations.
It requires working closely with teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate budgeting, contracting, and inventory tracking.
A good fit would be someone with strong analytical skills and experience in government or military finance who enjoys problem-solving and collaboration.
You will serve as an ACCOUNTANT (STAFFING) of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assessing Navy Working Capital Fund accounting transactions to evaluate trends that affect program operations; 2) Maintaining accurate accounting records and preparing in-depth financial reports for review by management; 3) Performing research, analysis, and interpretation of data in a variety of financial databases and make recommendations/perform corrective actions; 4) Performing analysis related to financial requirements, contracting procedures and inventory management; 5) Identifying programs and developing corrective action to restore financial data to an operable condition; 6) Utilizing knowledge of Navy ERP to ensure financial policies are developed that provide effective policy oversight, internal control, and customer management information; 7) Developing solid working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to ensure thorough requirements are in place for accurate financial reporting.
