What You Will Be Doing

This position is a full-proficiency, professional level position in which you will analyze, summarize, and report financial data, maintain internal controls, and provide financial oversight and control of accounting functions.

The incumbent will use their knowledge to resolve accounting issues and provide direction in the practical application of the Division’s procedures and techniques for the benefit of our clients.

In this job the incumbent will learn the principles of fund accounting along with learning to complete quarterly, monthly, and annual financial statements and reconciliations.

These accounting functions will help build on skills that can be used for future job promotions.

The Working Environment You Can Expect

This position is located at 400 Willoughby, across the street from the State Office Building in beautiful downtown Juneau. The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. In-state hybrid telework opportunities may be available after training and/or probationary period is complete.
